Pontresina is a picturesque village in the Upper Engadine valley, only 6km from St. Moritz, in the Canton of Graubünden. It has maintained all the charm of the old Engadine villages but still exudes youth and vitality, especially during winter when you encounter the young snowboarders on the slopes. And snowboarding is just one of many sporting opportunities on offer in Pontresina - with the ski lifts of Lagalb and Diavolezza close by, a ski school for children and adults, and beautiful cross-country skiing trails. You might also wish to take a romantic carriage ride in the enchanting Val Roseg and experience the diversionary pleasures of the lanes and pathways in the invigorating, fresh mountain air.

A ski area without equal

The ski region of the Upper Engadine is without equal: 58 fast, modern ski lifts cover 350 km of prepared trails that offer a vast choice of descent for all levels of ability. For cross-country skiers 180 km of trails criss-cross the countryside of the Upper Engadine and the adjoining romantic valleys of Fex, Roseg and Bever. Pontresina has a first class ski school providing lessons for both groups and individuals, as well as many children's activities. Other skiing facilities include, heli-skiing in the high mountains and on the glaciers, and a halfpipe for snowboarders.
