"SAVUR"

THE NEW SCHLOSS RESTAURANT

"Savur" is a Romansh term that means "taste". So we wanted to call the restaurant of Hotel Schloss to pay tribute first of all to this land, so rich in culinary tradition and culture, especially at the table. But the "flavor" is also that of the dishes of our Italian chefs, who together with the starred Andrea Ribaldone, have studied tasty dishes and menus, in perfect harmony between local culture and Italian touch. Next to dishes more openly inspired by the Engadine tradition, there are the "Italian classics", the richest and most savory, to bring the best of our country to Switzerland, accompanied by prestigious wineries, both local and French and Italian. Our restaurant offers à la carte service, with daily menu and traditional menu. In compliance with the philosophy of JSH, the whole kitchen is based on fresh and seasonal raw materials, skilfully treated to enhance their properties and flavor.

A "petit carte" collects the gastronomic offer for a simple and genuine light lunch.


LUNCH BOX
For those wishing for lunch on the slopes or during an excursion, a delicious LunchBox may be requested, with a selection of sandwiches, fresh fruit, snacks, desserts and drinks.

A RICH BREAKFAST

 SERVED IN THE "Cáliz" ROOM

Mirroring the "Savur" restaurant, is a second "Caliz" room where we serve breakfast. Even here, the panoramic windows offer a beautiful view of the peaks of Bernina, to admire while enjoying the rich and large fresh pastry buffet prepared every morning at the hotel from the Master Pastry Chef. Homemade cakes, fresh breads, ham, eggs, freshly cut fruit, organic jams, various yogurts, cereal mixes, freshly squeezed juices and Italian coffee served at your table are pleasures to be granted specifically in the morning, to get ready for a beautiful day on the mountains.

Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:30.

The restaurant of Hotel Schloss Pontresina zooms in on product quality and services, and as in all hotels and resorts of JSH is curated by Andrea Ribaldone, our Michelin-starred chef, who in 2014 became the head of food and beverages at JSH. Along with the hotel's chef, Ribaldone created a delicious and wholesome menu for the restaurant Savur, starting from high-quality raw materials from the area, selected in accordance with their seasonality. The dishes that arise are inspired by the rich tradition of the Engadine and alternate with more international flavors, or to the great Italian classics.

SWEET TIME

To sweeten the afternoon and enhance the rest of our guests returning from the slopes or long walks on the Bernina peaks, there's the "After Ski Sweet Time" *. From 16.30 to 18.30, in the Lounge Bar area, there is a delicious snack buffet, including pastries, cakes and biscuits, made in-house by our chefs, with traditional tea and herbal teas, prestigious hot chocolate, marshmallows and candy for children.

Sweet Time includes:

  • 4 types of typical cake served by the slice
  • 2 types of pudding
  • Finger-cakes (various muffins, macarones, biscuits)
  • For children: caramelized apples, cotton candy, cookies, marshmallows, and many colorful sweets

The Lounge Bar of Hotel Schloss is open from 10:30 to 24:00, a perfectly refined corner for a cocktail or an aperitif, accompanied by dry snacks or small rotisserie items. For those who want to enjoy a tasty lunch but are in a hurry, the Lounge Bar offers salads, sandwiches and filled rolls (also vegan), burgers, all served with a wide selection of wines, spirits, soft drinks, beer and bubbles. For a snack throughout the day, there are tea biscuits and delicious homemade cakes to taste with hot chocolate, with traditional and herbal teas.
